Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the third main entry in Monolith Soft's Xenoblade series, released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch in December 2017. It follows the young salvager Rex and the Aegis Blade Pyra/Mythra as they journey across the cloud-sea world of Alrest, riding the backs of colossal living Titans in search of the paradise of Elysium. The game blends the series' trademark open-field exploration and real-time party combat with a new Blade-bonding system, and is widely regarded as one of the Switch's defining JRPGs.
