Xenoblade Chronicles X is Monolith Soft's 2015 open-world RPG for the Wii U, in which the last survivors of a destroyed Earth crash-land on the sprawling alien planet Mira and build the frontier city of New Los Angeles. As the second Xenoblade title, it trades the numbered trilogy's tightly plotted story for an enormous, seamless world you explore on foot and in transformable mecha called Skells (Dolls in Japan). It stands as its own self-contained adventure while sharing the series' love of vast vistas and sci-fi mystery, made under series creator Tetsuya Takahashi.
